I was born and brought up on the South Coast and moved to Suffolk as a teenager. During the seventies I took my children to live in Corfu, where I attempted to paint the rugged coastline and the incredible light.

In the year 2000 I gained a degree in Art and Design at the University of East Anglia. I was one of the more mature students!

I paint in oils, acrylics and water colours. My work is deeply influenced by the area in Suffolk where I now live; the history, farming, the sea and the effects of the tidal currents all feed into various aspects of my work.

My choice of method and materials is often dictated by the needs of the subject matter. At other times my paintings are an emotional response to the landscape and the Suffolk light.

My conceptual work is mostly concerned with the environment and our effect on it. I use natural and waste materials.

I have run workshops for children and adults. I have also collaborated with my  husband, Jim Wyllie, by illustrating his children's books about Cedric the Seahorse

My exhibited work and commissions can be found here.

Future exhibitions are normally highlighted on my homepage.
